Zephi update: vet thought it might be a ruptured cruciate ligament 🙄 but couldn’t tell as he was very tense when they tried to do the drawer test. I’m like this when the orthopaedic surgeon tries to move my hip 😬. Ruptured cruciate wouldn’t be good as I’m not going down the surgery route again for a lot of reasons. But some good news, he is bearing weight on it again so I’m doing very short, but frequent lead walks and lots of rest + pain relief and anti-inflammatories. Maybe he just really tweaked his hip or maybe he has torn his cruciate but not completely. I’m going to stick to the rehab programme I did with him last year (and stop him running for a few months) in the hope that it builds strength and heals. I’ll also get him swimming again when it’s warmer. Problem is, he is a nutter and lives to run at super fast speeds 🙄 and isn’t brilliant at doing what he is told. Thank you for all your kind wishes. Zephi wants everyone to know that he’s planning more dangerous escapades as soon as possible and having knackered legs isn’t going to stop him getting into trouble 😬😳.
